PART 1 (Sample Response – CD2 Track 8)

Let’s talk about traveling.

When is the last time you went on a trip?

Uhm, actually the last time I went on a trip was 2 years ago, before COVID how can I say (don’t shoot yourself foot) pandemic. I went to Egypt, it’s just north of Sudan. I went with my family to visit my uncle for two weeks and we had lots of fun.

Do you like to travel? Why or why not? (Play the devil’s advocate)

Unfortunately, I’m kind of a person who would avoid holidays, and one of the reasons why is because the pandemic is still going insane around the world, and I don’t want to get involved…

Yes, I love to travel. As a person like me who wants to talk to people I’m kind of an open person, so travelling is a very important factor for me….native speakers….

What do you need to do when preparing for travel? Why?

I think the first thing item I have to do while in the preparation for my travelling is to pack my passport, then I need to think of taking money, packing clothes and my overnight kit, also I have to make sure I booked my travel tickets and accommodations. For my trip to Khazakstan I did all this and it went smoothly.

Is it a good idea to plan the details of your trip before departure? Why or why not?

How popular is international travel in your country?
